Our approach sets us apart from other efforts. Great Oak's foundational development approach provides a lasting framework for achievement and success and is the key to combating and correcting the many socioeconomic and socio-cultural issues confronting black male youth. Our aim is a standards-based program, applied uniformly (akin to the franchise concept) and based on proven effectiveness. Our objective is to aggressively apply our program locally, then regionally. We see this as a community issue that should and must be addressed at the community level. Every community has a stake. Success depends on the aggressive financial and volunteer support of every community.
